How can I prevent my towel from fading?
Avoid using oxidising detergents, bleaching agents or optical brighteners on your towels and keep all bathroom and cleaning products away from your towels. Some facial cleansers or hair products also contain bleaching agents that can affect the colour of your towels. Drying towels in direct sunlight for an extended period of time can cause fading as with any textile. These are some tips we recommend to help your towels last for longer.
How can I keep my towels soft?
Tumble drying your Cotton Towels will keep them feeling soft without reducing absorbency.
Should I wash my Cotton towels before using them for the first time?
It is advisable to always wash your towel before using them for the first time. Excess cotton from the milling process can cause fluffing in some new towel ranges but this will settle after they’re washed. Sometimes after dyeing during the milling process there could be a coating on the fibre of the towel sets that needs to be washed off to ensure maximum absorbency. Make sure you always wash your towel sets separately from other items.
Egyptian Cotton
What is Egyptian Cotton?
Egyptian Cotton is one of the most desired Cotton fabrics in the world. Well-known for its soft touch and durability, Egyptian Cotton is considered the most superior cotton produced anywhere in the world.
What does Egyptian Cotton/Pima Cotton mean?
Egyptian Cotton and Pima Cotton are characterised by long length, more staple fibres that create a fabric with superior softness, strength and durability. Egyptian Cotton towels are made from a stronger yet softer yarn that has increased durability and is softer to the touch and the deep loops and soft pile makes for extra absorbency. Egyptian yarn also naturally enhances the colour of the towel.
Where does Egyptian Cotton come from?
Egyptian Cotton is grown along the banks of the Nile. The humid conditions and rich soil along the river create the perfect conditions to nurture the growth of the long cotton fibres that are specific to Egyptian cotton. These fibres, also known as staples, distinguish Egyptian cotton from many other varieties because they are almost twice the size/length of regular cotton fibres. When extra-long Egyptian Cotton fibres are spun, they produce very fine yarns. These fine Egyptian Cotton yarns are smaller in diameter than regular cotton yarns, which means Egyptian Cotton has more threads per square inch/ten square centimetres, therefore making it stronger yet softer than other Cottons.
Is Egyptian Cotton made in any other locations?
True Egyptian Cotton can only be grown in Egypt. In order to keep up with demand, in the United States a very similar cotton, known as Pima Cotton, is grown.
Is Egyptian Cotton the same as Pima Cotton?
Egyptian Cotton and Pima Cotton are slightly different but both are characterised by long fibres that create a fabric with superior softness, strength and durability.
What are the benefits of using Egyptian Cotton towels?

What are the benefits of using Egyptian Cotton Sheets?
Egyptian Cotton Sheets are some of the softest, silkiest and most durable sheets on the market. When high-grade Egyptian Cotton fibres are used to make Egyptian Cotton Sheets, the results cannot be matched by other Cotton varieties. Egyptian Cotton sheets are a highly sought-after luxury item with a global reputation.
What characterises Egyptian Cotton Sheets?
Egyptian Cotton Sheets are extremely soft to touch, very comfortable to sleep on, and very easy to wash. In addition to being high in quality, Egyptian Cotton Sheets also feel notably lighter than many other bedlinen varieties. All of our Egyptian Cotton Sheets have a 450 Thread Count and are 100% Cotton.
What do Egyptian Cotton Sheets look like?
Egyptian Cotton Sheets have a very sleek appearance, are very fashionable and will suit a multitude of bedroom settings. Luxury and upmarket brands across the world choose to use Egyptian Cotton in their products, and Egyptian Cotton Sheets are a favourite at five-star hotels. Try them.... you will never turn back.
Thread Counts
What does Thread Count mean?
Thread Count refers to the number of threads woven both vertically and horizontally within a 10²cm block of fabric. The higher the thread count, the finer the yarn and the denser the weave which creates an easy care, softer, more luxurious feel.
What is so special about the Thread Count?
The higher the Thread Count, the finer the yarn, the more dense the weave. Thjis gives the most luxurious finish. When you feel a 1000 Thread Count product, the difference is obvious.
Why has Pure Zone chosen to sell 1000 Thread Count bedlinen?
Pure Zone has carefully selected 1000 Thread Count Sheet Sets in 100% Cotton Percale in order to offer our customers the best range and quality on the market.
Pure Zone’s superior 1000 Thread Count Sheet Sets are very lavish and incredibly comfortable. Our 1000 Thread Count Sheets are finished with triple pleats on the cuff which complements their luxurious appearance.
Are the 1000 Thread Count Sheets and 1500 Thread Count Sheets from Pure Zone some of the best available?
Yes. The 1000 Thread Count and the 1500 Thread Count Sheets are the most premium and top-of-the-range premium Sheets Sets. In addition to relating to the number of threads woven, the 1000 Thread Count and 1500 Thread Count classification also corresponds to the ply and thickness of the threads used. The ply of the fabric explains how many threads are wrapped together in a single thread to make up the 1000 Thread Count. Using finer threads allows for more threads to fit into one square inch/10 square centimetres of the 1000 Thread Count or 1500 Thread Count fabric, so using finer threads often results in smoother, softer fabrics.
This explains why 1000 Thread Count Sheets and 1500 Thread Count Sheets are considered far more desirable than fabrics with lower Thread Count. Sheets with a 1000 Thread Count or 1500 Thread Count are not only higher quality, but they are also stronger and last longer than many other sheets.
What are 1000 Thread Count and 1500 Thread Count sheets made from?
All our 1000 Thread Count Sheet Sets and 1500 Thread Count Sheet Sets are 100% Pima Cotton Sateen Percale.
What does Percale mean?
Percale is a word describing a fine, smooth, luxurious fabric which is made with a thread count of a minimum of 225. It is also very durable and washes well. Percale fabric can be 100% cotton or a cotton blend. All Pure Zone bed linen is percale and 100% cotton.
Bamboo
What is Bamboo?
Bamboo is a natural fibre that is now being used in textile manufacturing. It is strong yet soft and has the luxuriant drape of silk. Bamboo alone has a very high shrinkage rate therefore we have blended it with cotton to stabilise the fabric. The growing of bamboo uses less water than cotton and also bamboo has a faster regrowth than cotton. Therefore, bamboo is environmentally friendlier.
Why is everyone talking about Bamboo?
Bamboo has become a popular textile choice for sheets in Australia because it has a soft and silky feel and is very environmentally friendly. It is also eco-friendly, as it is grown without pesticides or herbicides.
Bamboo grows 33% faster than trees and produces more O2 per acre. It is also very hygienic. It is naturally anti-bacterial and hypo-allergenic. It is also more efficient – it holds three times its weight in water which means Bamboo products dry twice as fast as Cotton does on its own.
What is Bamboo Cotton?
Bamboo Cotton is the product of mixing the best of Bamboo and Cotton – both natural fibres that we love at Pure Zone.
At Pure Zone, the blend is always a higher percentage of Bamboo (70%) with Cotton (30%). This allows the benefits of Bamboo to mix with the benefits of Cotton to get a great quality, natural fibre product.
What are the benefits of Bamboo Cotton?
Bamboo retains many of its plant properties in its textile form, so Bamboo Cotton is therefore incredibly absorbent.
Why has Bamboo Cotton become so widespread?
Bamboo Cotton helps pull moisture away from the skin and stays cool in warm weather. Bamboo also acts as an effective insulator, helping us stay warm in colder parts of Australia.
Why is Bamboo Cotton good for the environment?
Bamboo Cotton has a natural shine and a silky texture. Bamboo has a very rapid regrowth when cut and requires less water to grow than Cotton.
Is Bamboo Cotton environmentally friendly?
Yes, Bamboo is the fastest-growing woody plants in the world and are very eco-friendly. Bamboo requires less water to grow than Cotton. As a result, Bamboo Cotton is environmentally-friendly and is even biodegradable.
